So i have been having issues with any of the items i ship eBay standard envelope. The system never updates to eBay and now i have a couple open cases and funds on hold. So 1 item i sold and shipped out on May 27th never had any tracking info showing it was scanned or anything. On June 15th it finally showed that the packacge was shipped to buyer. That was the first scan the system showed. Im in Columbus, OH and the first scan from the item came from Seattle, WA. What steps should i take to prevent this issue? Also want to reassure the buyers that i am not scamming them.

Mentor2 months ago@fourthquartervault I just wanted to add to be sure to refund the buyer by the 3rd day after they file a refund request. If you don't then eBay will force a refund and you will receive a Defect
Once you refund then you file a PIP insurance claim.

Mentor2 months agoThe thing to remember with the eBay Standard Envelope is that it is considered as Metered Mail by the USPS and is not scanned like other mail is. The only scans it receives is at specific sorting centers and does not receive scans at the post office level. So there is nothing you can do to get more scans. Also, this class of mail cannot be tracking by using the regular tracking system that USPS uses and communicates to eBay.

It's important that your envelopes are flexible enough to fit around a mug so that they are flexible enough to fit through USPS machinery.
The scanning is done by machines, not a person.
Try dropping your envelopes in the 'metered mail' slot at the post office since those items also go to machinery.
