    concerned about providing total SS#
                     

    I don't feel comfortable about providing entire SS#-anyone else?  Any options? (probably not-small $ amt -may donate to charity)  -I've only listed a few items.

    It is an IRS requirement that applies to all US-based sellers, so while others have shared your discomfort, it's not optional, except that you can choose to supply a TIN or EIN (which would be for a registered business) if you have one.
