Conceal Sellers address on the label due to security reasons
Looking for help on how to conceal Sellers address on the USPS shipping label due to security reasons

OP11 months agoIs the Seller's address necessary to be on the order acknowledgement? If not, then I will escalate it to Ebay to take out this info.

Mentor11 months agoI have my name as my eBay seller name, but address is there. And I want it there in case the item is to be returned to me if it is undeliverable. That has happened twice.

OP11 months agoI actually have looked more into this and found out that I can black out my name & address on the shipping label . The carrier i.e USPS, Fedex , etc. have the actual address on their system in case it needs to be returned to the sender. This poses a security risk these days, any address can be easily found online with pictures of the exact streetview of your house. I do not want a 'vengeful/lunatic' buyer to be able to find my address where my family lives and and do whatever.

Mentor11 months agoYou do know that the buyer receives your name and address when the purchase is made. So they already know who you are and where you live.

Yes the seller's information is on the buyers order details information.
As suggested above get a PO Box to use as your ship from/to address if you do not want to use your home address.

Mentor11 months agoAll mail should have a return address on the package/envelope in case the item is not deliverable.

Mentor11 months agoIf there is a problem with the delivery, the USPS has to have a return address so they know where to return the package.
If you are concerned with security, then look into renting a P.O. Box.
