compatible connections

Question

I am interested in upgrading an old windows 7 PC to a newer model. Does this PC have all necessary and compatible connections for my curent monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc? Also it needs an ethernet card for connection to my internet.

Most new windows machines will have all you need already available. However, some apps will have to be upgraded and Windows 11 is a real mess compared to Windows 7. Do a little Google search for more info.

Also be aware that W11 mostly wants to operate with AI and in the cloud, not to mention ads and new monthly charges for things like Office 365. Other apps while still there will be missing functions and often have glitchy upgrades. Yet you have no choice as W7 will not run a lot of new software and lacks security features that will block you from many websites.

I am running W7 now, also have a W10 machine I dislike, and refuse to go to W11, so will be switching Linux Mint and getting rid of all the Windows nonsense once and for all.
