Company taking down my listing

Question

So I’m trying to sell an item I legally bought from an official seller. After I made the listing, a random seller on eBay from China contacted me and said they work for COSLUS and that I need to take down the listing bec it has the COSLUS brand on it.

I contacted support and they agreed this guy is obv a poser.

A bit later my listing gets taken down.

I contact support again and I am straight up told the company is allowed to stop me from selling a product I own bec it’s their brand.

1) let’s say it WAS the company, doesn’t the first sale doctrine protect me?

2) How did eBay let a random poser take down my listing. The only document they had shown was a publicly available document. Is it really that simple for people to go and take listings down by posing as companies?

1) The first sale doctrine does NOT protect you. 2) Only Ebay can remove listings when a member reports a violation, the Ebay member cannot remove the listing.

If the company is a VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) member, and do not want their items sold on ebay, and they notify ebay, ebay will take down the item.
