Common Scam? I'm out 1000 dollars.
1. I buy graphics card on Ebay.
2. Card does not arrive although it says delivered. I check front office, they have not seen anything.
3. USPS site and proof of delivery says "Sprouts" and "(Local grocery store address)"?
4. I call them and go there multiple times. Not there, they have my number now. I also notice the package says 1.4oz. The package should be approx. 50x that weight. It is a graphics card.
5. Ebay refuses to acknowledge anything, denies my claim.

Mentor7 months ago@apexnight That sounds VERY frustrating.
1) First, call the postal carrier to see if the tracking number label had your name and address on it.
a) If your name and correct address were on the label, ask the postal carrier to review the GPS on the delivery, retrieve the item from the wrong house, and deliver it to you.
b) If your name and address weren't on that label, ask the postal carrier if they will put this in writing. Also, ask for the weight of the package using that tracking number. Follow the rest of the steps here:
2) Then, report the seller using this process

Important, select "Suspicious seller activity"
then "Other"
Explain that the seller is using fake USPS tracking numbers
Include these phrases
Seller uploaded tracking not associated with my transaction
Tracking details were not accurate
Seller use a false tracking number
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.
3) Finally, contact Customer Service and inform them that the seller uploaded a "false tracking number" on your purchase. Request a refund.
Use the Customer Service that is on social media this way:

Just send a private message to the page. Explain you have a fake or false tracking number situation.
If the above steps do not result in a refund then you will have to pursue a chargeback with your funding source ( bank, credit card, etc) . Once you ask your funding source to step in eBay can no longer assist you.

I didn't explain it well enough sorry. Its kinda hard to say correctly honestly. The "Destination Delivery Address" and "Recipient Name" is totally correct.
The "Actual Recipient Name" and the hand written "Recipient Signature" (which is a box that includes BOTH the signature AND the address" says "Sprouts" and "(Their address)". Also yeah the weight says 1.4oz.
According to your advice, I have now called USPS, and explained the situation. He said I can expect a call from USPS by Monday and that all the GPS stuff and redelivery is possible. The thing is, I've visited that Sprouts Grocery Store at that given address, and I've called them multiple times... They do not have it.
I am also proceeding with claims through Paypal and Synchrony because Ebay refuses to look at the fine details, sees "delivered" and sees the "destination address" and denies me. I wonder if they'll accept video proof of me running around the mail office, and bothering my front desk about it. Or if they want to visit my home to search for it. At this point I'm an open book. They can see I had to order another one on my account purchases. That one actually arrived.
Anyway, thank you for the help, again. And for the speediness of the help. It provided an option I had not tried yet, I've honestly had some traumatic experiences with a USPS post office about a 2 years ago and so did not think to try their hotline.

OP7 months agoTo be clear, the delivery address has the correct address. The signature (which is NOT my signature) says "Sprouts" and their address. I reported this the very day it happened, it took until now to be denied.
