Combining Multiple Sales Into One Shipment
Hi - I have a very nice repeat buyer who placed two orders one day apart. I didn't ship the first one yet.
I asked them if I can combine the shipping for the two orders, they said sure and even said that they hope I did that so that I can save some money on shipping (I didn't charge them enough, so I ate some of the shipping on their very first order).
Is there anything special that I need to do on eBay to show that I am shipping 2 orders in the same box, or since the buyer paid the shipping for both, I can just put the items from the 2 orders in one box?
Thanks!

- If the buyer checks out 2 items with one payment, eBay will have the sales already combined.
- If the buyer pays for more than 1 item separately, you can
Combine the orders before selecting a label using the "bulk shipping" tool on the browser.
Put a checkmark to the left of your items on this page
https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:AWAITING_SHIPMENT
Select "Shipping" above
On the next screen it will ask if you want to 'combine' the orders. Check that box.
Enter the weight and dimensions for the package and print your label.

OP8 months agoThanks - can I use my own shipping method, or do I need to use the eBay label?
eBay is charging a lot more than I charged, so I asked the buyer if I can use USPS instead of UPS and they said sure. So, what I thought I'd do is print out packing slips for the multiple orders, pack all items in one box, take it to USPS for a price, and if I don't lose money, I'll ship that way. Is that ok?

It is cheaper to ship on eBay than at the USPS counter, but yes you can use your own shipping method.
If eBay won't allow you to ship USPS, because the listing said UPS (but your customer is ok with the change), you can put all items in one box and have USPS calculate the price.
You could also use a third party such as Pirate Ship, and then you would get discounted rates.

OP8 months agoThanks - now I'm confused. After posting the question on here, I was able to reaach a representative at eBay, and they said that as long as the expected delivery is the same or sooner, I can switch to USPS without consent of the buyer.
I emailed the buyer, just to cover all bases, but no response. I don't want to miss the deadline to ship, and look like I'm shipping it late, so I printed the USPS label and it's going out today. Hope that's ok, but I can't wait for their response any longer.

It's generally ok to switch. I would ship on time too. Let me know if you have any problems.
