Combining 2-Purchases into one Shipping Package
My customer wants me to combine 2-purchases into one package and receive a discounted shipping rate because only one package is being shipped. Is that possible?
I asked the AI assistant, and it responded with this: "When buyers purchase multiple items from a seller, they can pay a combined total and receive all of their items in one package."

Most of your items are auctions.
The buyer can't put the item in his cart until he has won the auction OR pays the full buy it now price for an item without bids.
Items that are not Auctions (Fixed Price only) can be put into the buyers shopping cart.
- Example, I just put the EMS patch and magazine in my cart. the shipping was not discounted because that is not set up on your account.
✓ If this is 2 auctions that already have bids, once the buyer wins, have him defer to pay in 7 days. Then you can revise the invoice to reduce the shipping so you buyer can pay the discounted rate.
In general you need to set up combined shipping, but that won't apply to any current listings with bids.
Combined Shipping for future sales
It's best to use a computer or the browser view to do this.
Change your global settings here: https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf to allow combined payments and shipping
Combined payments "edit"
- Allow buyers to send one combined payment for all items purchased
- Time period to combine payments days
Allow combined payments and shipping
This will allow the buyer to check out and pay for multiple items at once.

First if you have any labels that you printed and didn't use in the past 30 days, you can cancel them for a refund. Here's how
Here's how to cancel (or void) a shipping label you purchased on eBay:
- Go to Manage shipping labels: https://www.ebay.com/ship/lmng/labels-history/my-ebay
- Find the item you'd like to cancel the shipping label for, then from the Actions column, select CANCEL.
- Choose your reason for canceling the label. If you want to, you can add a message for the buyer.
- Select Cancel (or Void) shipping label.

Adding a tracking number to the 2nd item
For any items you have sold recently and used one label for 2 sales, you should add the tracking number that was used when you shipped your item to the 2nd item
- Go to the Sold section of My eBay. https://www.ebay.com/mys/sold
- From More actions, select Add tracking number.
- Add, edit or delete the tracking number and the carrier.
- Select Submit.
- Go to the Sold section of My eBay. https://www.ebay.com/mys/sold
- Click "Edit tracking"
- Click "+ additional tracking number"
- Add the actual tracking number and the carrier.
- Click "Save and Continue"
TIP: You can't edit or delete the first tracking number, and that is ok. Just add the correct number.

Combined Shipping for future sales

You will want to set up Shipping Rules and apply those Rules to your listings. You can have:
- Flat rules: For example add $1.00 for each additional item
- Calculated rules: For example - add up all the weights (If you have large items, the SIZE will not adjust for oversize, so I don't recommend calculated rules except for small items)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is how to set up your combined shipping rules:
First, change your global settings here: https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf to allow combined payments and shipping
1) Combined payments "edit"
- Allow buyers to send one combined payment for all items purchased
- Time period to combine payments <your choice> days
Allow combined payments and shipping
THEN set up the Shipping Rules:
2a) Calculated shipping rule "edit"
Select rules for combining weights for purchases with calculated shipping
- Combine all weights
And/or
2) Flat shipping rule "edit"
Select rules for flat shipping costs on combined purchases
- Add x.00 per each additional
(You can have several of these rules.)
Next, you need to ADD the combined shipping rule to each listing you want it to apply to. (in your listing or by bulk edit) You can't revise listings with bids.
Let me know if you need more help with this. And if so, tell me which items the buyer wants to combine as I can give more specific instructions.
