Combined Total and Shipping for Offers - Is It Possible?

Question

A seller has offered 6 postcards to me at 15% off; I would buy all of them, but the shipping cost for each postcard is $2, and eBay won't allow me to request a total for combined shipping. When I click on "request total", a message pops up that says something like "you can't request a combined invoice because the seller has already offered a discount on this item".

Are there any work-arounds?

Can eBay fix this?

Shipping is not negotiable on offers. However, if seller is willing discount and to combine shipping, ask him to cancel the current order and relist all in a single listing at the agreed upon terms. Or if you trust the seller, he can refund the excess postage.
