Combined shipping questions
How do I offer a customer combined shipping? In other words, I'm offering a discount to buy multiple items (selling CDs). But how do I keep eBay from collecting a flat fee for each individual item, so that they only pay one shipping fee for the entire order.

Mentor3 years agoStart with 2 items so you can see how bulk edit works. Then you can do all of your items at once, after you are comfortable making the changes.
Use seller hub active items - https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active, select 2 items by checking the box on the left, then select edit at the top of the list. This opens the main bulk edit page.
Again select the items by checking the boxes on the left. Click the arrow where it says bulk edit at the top of the list to see the list of fields you can edit. Select domestic shipping under delivery. In the new window that opens, select change to. The window will now show what you can change. Click the arrow on the far right where it says combined shipping. Click change to. Then check the box(es) that you want to apply. Save.
Back on the mail bulk edit page, click submit.

Mentor3 years agoThere are 2 steps. First, tell the system you will combine shipping - on this page - https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf - edit combined payments and pick a number of days. 3 is good unless you run auctions and want to allow more time.
You can stop there, and then the buyer can request a combined total. Since your items are mostly similar weight and size, you should be able to determine rules for checkout to use to calculate the shipping.
If you use calculated shipping, set up a calculated rule on that same page. You can just add the weights together, or you can add them together and subtract a set weight to adjust for the packaging.
If you use flat rate shipping - where you enter the $ amount in your listing, set up a flat rate rule. You can set up multiple flat rate rules if needed. Here the easiest thing to do is to add a flat amount for each additional item - like $1.
You can also set up a promotion rule on that same page, to limit the total amount of shipping, or to offer free shipping over a certain amount.
After you set up the rules, you need to add them to your listings. You can do this with bulk edit. If you haven't used bulk edit, reply back and we can add instructions for you.
