combined shipping on auctioned items
Now that eBay automatically puts through a charge immediately after one wins an auction, does anyone know how to get combined shipping when one wins 2 or more auctions with the same seller? It would appear that each item won would be shipped individually (meaning there would be no way to wait for an invoice, or to request an invoice from the seller).

Mentor2 years agoThe seller has the option to require automatic payment for bids or for offers, though eBay set the defaults to require those when the option was added to the Buyer Requirements, sellers can undo that setting (if the seller is aware of that).
So you may be able to ask the seller to disable that feature in advance or make some sort of alternative arrangement.
It is not clear whether adding the buyer to the exemption list would be sufficient to bypass those particular requirements; at least one official eBay community rep indicated that it should not, but I do not know if anyone has verified that yet.
