COMBINED SHIPPING FOR SEVERAL SOLD ITEMS TO ONE BUYER
A buyer has purchased 7 of 10 items I have for sale. When he paid, it automatically included shipping cost for each item, I did not know I could have a preference to combine shipping. Can someone please explain to me before I purchase shipping labels, on how to work on getting buyer lower shipping costs. There are still 3 items he wants and I said for him to hold off til we figure this out. PLEASE HELP. I have read the ebay automated response but do not see how to make it work??? HELP

Mentor2 years ago@grghost I am going to guess that the shipping for the first 7 items is enough to cover the shipping for the last 3. So what you need to do is send an invoice for the 3 items and REMOVE the shipping cost or adjust as needed.
Go to your awaiting shipment items here> https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:AWAITING_PAYMENT Select send invoice from the drop down menu next to one of the items. The next screen will have all of the items that have not been paid for yet. Then remove the shipping costs for those items.
The buyer then pays for the last 3 items from the invoice that you send.
Next after the buyer pays go to your awaiting shipment page here> https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:AWAITING_SHIPMENT Select ALL items and then select print label from the top of the list.
Next screen you will be asked if you want to combine the order> yes if you are shipping it all in one box. Then adjust the package size and weight as needed. Buy your shipping label.
After you complete those steps if your buyer still over paid for shipping by a large amount you can issue a partial refund on the shipping by going to the orders page and select send refund from the drop down menu next to the order. I prefer to take a bit off of each item in case of a return.

Here's how to combine shipping as long as it's not a eBay International Shipping Program order. You can't combine shipping on EIS orders without a bit more work. eBay is working on automating EIS combined shipping but it's not rolled out to all sellers yet.
You can not combine ANY authenticity guaranteed items. They must all ship separately.
#1 If the buyer has not paid yet here's how to send a combined shipping invoice:
Go to your sold listings on a PC and select send invoice from next to one item. The next page will then have all of the items from your buyer. Weigh and measure the new package and then adjust the shipping price. You can look up the shipping price here: https://www.ebay.com/shp/Calculator

#2 If the buyer has already paid then you can send a partial refund for the shipping overcharge:
Go to the sold item and select Send Refund from the drop down menu next to the item.
Next screen select the reason for the refund> enter the amount> submit
#3 Also, when you print the shipping label it's VERY important to select all items and then select print label from the top of the list if the buyer did not pay from an invoice. Then on the next screen it will ask if you want to combine orders, say yes then adjust the package size and weight as needed. This way the tracking is applied to all items.
# 4 I suggest you allow combined shipping in your account settings so that in the future buyers can request an invoice from their cart:

OP2 years agothank you so much, very helpful. I had gotten close to this, but exact steps may not have been as good. I appreciate your help.
