Combined shipping
I purchased 10 items from a seller and asked for combined shipping they told me to place to order and they'll refund later
They waited to refund till after I received the package and I had to message them and ask for my money
They send me 50 dollars back I originally paid 90 I did a quote on Pirateship (that's who they used) and it only costs 13 dollars so they're trying to scam me out of 27 dollars what can I do?

Mentor2 years agoUnfortunately, there is nothing you can do. You pay the seller for shipping and handling, not postage. He was not technically obligated to refund anything.
Was this for 10 pairs of jeans? Even if you lived next door to the seller, I doubt he could ship 10 pairs of jeans for $13.00. The cost is based on the total size and weight of the package and the distance between buyer and seller plus his handling cost.
I don't know how much your package weighed or what the dimensions were, but let's pretend it only weighed 10 lbs. The cost for postage only (not including handling) can range from around $14 - $49 depending on your location.
For the future, it would be a good idea to get a combined shipping quote from the seller before you purchase.

OP2 years agoThanks for the reply
It was clothing they all fit in a 10.5x10.5x13 weighted 13lbs and zone 5 I looked up the price it's $12.15 USPS ground advantage I messaged them about the discrepancy and they replied
( Handling charge and EBay’s FVF charge)
Guess Im out almost 30 dollars

Mentor2 years agoNo, you're not out $30, you saved $50 for combined shipping vs. the individual listing costs. As I wrote before, you are paying for Shipping and handling, not postage.
It sounds like the seller is building his fees into the S&H instead of the item price. If he were doing the reverse, you would still pay the same amount.
