Combined Shipping

Question

I am new to the store side of things so if this seems basic, please bare with me. So, I sell sports cards, majority of it is low end so I set up shipping for the buyer to pay at $0.74 for PWE. I've had it happen a few times where I've had someone buy 4 cards so they end up paying around $2.30 for shipping but because of the weight, I pay for USPS Ground Advantage which is around $5.

Is there any way to set up a policy or do anything to where after 3 items (cards in my case), it automatically switches for them to pay for ground advantage?

Using the ebay Standard Envelope, the price of shipping is $1.32 for 3 ounces. I believe the cards have to be under $20

At 4 ounces, you then have to use Ground Advantage. Not sure if there is a way to use business policies/shipping policy to specify this. Even if you were to use calculated shipping, with each card weighing 1 ounce, I don't know if ebay would automatically charge ground shipping at 4 ounces and higher. (I doubt it).

This is a problem and a needed option ebay has never addressed.

Best you can do is raise the flat shipping rate for the first card so by the 4th card it has increased closer to the Ground Advantage rate.
