Mentor8 months ago@salstoolbarn. I recommend printing two shipping labels for the same order.
Each package must have it's own unique tracking number.
Print one label adjusting the package size and weight. Then go back and select get another label to print the label for the second package, again adjusting package size and weight.
Then write box 1 and box 2 on the packages .
Let the buyer know that the order is shipping in two boxes that might not arrive the same day.

You can send the items in two packages using one tracking number which would be the easiest way to go. Open the link below to learn how to do that. On the boxes mark them as 1 of 2, and 2 of 2. or 1/2 - 2/2 if there's not a lot of space. Message your buyer to let them know that the combined cost for one package cost more than shipping them separately using the same tracking number for both packages.

If your buyer has already paid the more expensive combined shipping cost, you can send them a partial refund for the difference. open the link below.

In the future since many of your items are large and or heavy, you should add in the seller description that combined shipping may be more expensive than shipping items separately, and to contact you about combining more than 1 item before buying. If an item is very large or heavy you may want to state in the description that it may not be able to be combined with other purchases.

I know years ago UPS shipped like that, I did it for my regular business long before eBay was even a thought. They were one of the last major carriers to automate their DCs so back then it was all manual sorting. Do they still do that today? Just curious because I don't use them. I wasn't aware that USPS does that.

I biught a lot from an ebay seller who did that all of the time using UPS as well. Unfortunately, I misread an A.I. response to my question, Comics PMed me a while ago about my reply, and I found the link again, and now find that what I wrote was wrong. Though I did find the link below, its old but has a recent reply saying it works.

Mentor8 months agoThose instructions are for a different way to add the same tracking number to items that will ship in the SAME box.
I think it's easier to just go to the sold page, put a checkmark next to all items, then select combine order on the next page. Adjust package weight and size as needed.

OMG! I was on that 2017 thread back in like my 2nd year of Selling when I was still learning the ropes ... that brings back memories and was about adding tracking numbers to multiple sold items being shipped together in one box. Lately, that manual Add function has worked for so many items then stops.
