Color of Clothing

At least 75% of the time every time I buy a clothing item on Ebay,the color doesn't match what is shown in the description.
Sometimes it's not even close (see photos below). It's probably whatever device the seller uses to take the pic,probably their cellphone.
When I take a pic with my phone,the color matches the item. You would think the seller would notice the discrepancy.

Mentor1 week agoMaybe the seller brightened the first photo using eBay’s lighting adjustment tool, giving it a slightly fuzzy color.

Color can look different because of lighting, camera white balance, editing, and even the buyer’s screen settings. It is not always something the seller notices.
Before buying, check the written color description and ask the seller for a photo taken in natural daylight if the shade matters. If the item you received is materially different from both the photos and description, open a return from Purchase History and select Doesn’t match description:

OP1 week agoI agree with what you said. In the example photos I included in my comment,the seller actually said the shorts were a light blue. Clearly,they were not. Thanks for your reply.
