collection of fees on tax abd shipping
I am wondering if it is legal for ebay to collect fees from sellers on tax and even shipping. shipping came into play a few years ago and when I asked about it, they said they were trying to encourage sellers to offer free shipping. well, rarely does a seller not have the shipping built in the price of the item on free shipping listings and so ebay is still collecting fees on shipping as your price is higher to cover it and ebay is collecting fees either way. then, the government decides to start charging tax, even on used items, and so ebay started charging fees on the tax as well???? like these guys don't make millions a day on us sellers as it is???? absolutely ludicrous. what's the opinions of others here? thanks

·3 years agoYes, it's legal and they are not doing anything that Pay Pal, credit cards and other payment processors isn't doing.

OP3 years agoI wouldn't know of an actual law but lawsuits against ebay that were successful in the past haven't always been done because of an actual law being broken
