Collectible Card Listing as Very Good and Returns

Question

Can someone explain to me if I list a collectible sports card as in very good condition as defined by eBay "Has moderate-to-heavy damage all over" and the buyer receives the card and finds it has moderate to heavy damage that they are entitled to a return? Is there any seller protection? I listed the card appropriately, as defined by eBay.

I appreciate the problem but it is just how eBay works. eBay allows the buyer to decide if the item is as described or not since they never see the actual item. This does lead to some buyers misusing the money back guaranty for what ever reason they have. Although this may be considered as a flaw in the system by sellers it is a flaw that has existed since before I joined eBay.

You could try reporting the buyer for misusing the guaranty but other than eBay marking the buyers account for similar reports it does not change your situation.
