Closing this account, EBAY is a total pos

Ebay is a pos & I am closing this account....
These morons think they can treat the customers like trash...They don't respond even in their Algo-driven support, & I tried to reach them on the phone....& the response was ....."we are closed at this time, please call during the business hours" at 10:30 AM PST 🙂
Then there is this ass&^ seller who was supposed to deliver the product, which was supposed to take nearly 3 weeks & he never responded & posted "product sold out"
I didn't get my money back 🙂
One more warning- don't buy anything from India, there are too many fraudsters & crooks in this country
But that is not an issue for me, as I am closing this account & the POS Ebay will be out of business....or at least it should 🙂

Mentor1 year agoOn each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.
https://twitter.com/askebay
https://www.facebook.com/ebay
https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/
Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

Mentor1 year agoHi @bnischal07
Sorry to hear you had a problem with your transaction. Since almost all purchases are delivered however, eBay is not going out of business because you close your account. There are 134 million active buyers on eBay.
For this transaction...
Check the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History. When that date has passed, you have up to 30 days to use the option next to the transaction to open a case for an item not received. The seller will have 3 business days to prove delivery or refund. If he doesn't, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. eBay will force the refund.
For the future...
Check the seller's feedback before you buy and only buy from seller's with a stellar reputation.
If you still want to close your account, see this link...

OP1 year agoI don't know who you are, certainly hope not an Ebay employee....😊
Sure, eBay doesn't go out of business bc I am just one customer, that too not a frequent one....ðŸ˜
But notice that I have been a customer for a long time & rarely complained despite justifications on certain occasions.
This is the first time you have driven me to this level of frustration & decision to final cut off....your attitude alone ensures that you don't deserve to survive
I am just one, & I am not the first one....there are many such ppl who might have either kept quiet or have decided to leave anyway
There is only one retailer that is a gold standard in customer service - Amazon & I have been quite amazed how they have consistently delivered & many times have gone out of their way to compensate for bad customer experience
You are digging your own grave

This is a member-to-member board. Responders here are you fellow eBay members. In the rare case that an eBay employee posts on this board, he will be identified as such.

No one here is an Ebay employee. At the very top of this forum it tells you who is responding to questions or concerns that others bring to this forum. "Mentors are seasoned buyers and sellers who have volunteered to answer buying and selling questions."
@inceptions is a Mentor, like we all are that respond on this forum.
We only got a few details about whatever problem you feel you are having with Ebay. Not enough to advise you in any way.
I can tell you that the Customer Service call center shut down in 2020 and has not been reinstated at this time. Above I gave you all the options we have to contact Ebay customer service.
