Closing eBay accounts

Question

Iâ€™m ready to close my account. Itâ€™s to a point sellers are able to charge through the roof shipping prices and it end up costing too much to send back the item and itâ€™s not what one order or itâ€™s not worth it and youâ€™re just playing Russian roulette. Iâ€™m burnt out. Any suggestions.

@dmar5462 , The first suggestion I have is to read the terms of ebay's money back guarantee (MBG). There is a link to the policy and its time frames on most listing pages just under the Payment icons below the Shop with confidence header. If you receive an item that is not as described the seller is responsible for sending you a return shipping label or refunding you for the total price if they do not want to pay the return shipping cost. As for shipping cost, you do agree to pay it when you commit to buy. However, I've noticed the S&H prices for the same items, are all over the place lately. I think the problem with some sellers is they do not have a wide enough variety of various size boxes, and end up shipping items in oversized boxes filled with packing materials, which increases the package weight. Last week I received an item in an oversized box that had 8oz of scrunched up craft paper in it.
