Closing a case without a refund
I ordered a pair of shoes and it was delivered to a different state. I was in contact with the seller and wasn’t leading to a solution. So I opened a case to protect myself, the seller came back and said to close my case so they could refund my purchase and to trust them, if I close my case. I didn’t close the case and I haven’t heard from them and have not received a refund!

I'm sorry that happened.
The seller tricked you into closing your case. The seller could have easily refunded you in the case.
1) File a chargeback on your payment method, PayPal, or credit card. That goes back to eBay and your seller. Document that the seller used a fake tracking number.
2) Also, please report the seller here:

Explain in the box that the seller advised you to close the case in order to get a refund, then didn't refund you.
