Closed buyer return — USPS marked seller return address “No Such Number” and returned package to me
Summary: tamara1567 is experiencing issues with a closed return for an item purchased on eBay. They initiated the return, and the package was shipped back through USPS, but the return address was marked as invalid. The package was sent back to tamara1567, and the return case was closed by eBay without intervention, leaving no appeal option. Attempts to contact eBay support have been met with technical difficulties, and they are seeking advice on how to connect with a buyer-support agent for a resolution.
I’m a buyer with a closed return, Return ID 5325335088.
I started the return through eBay on July 27, and eBay shows that I shipped the item back on July 28 using the return method provided through eBay.
USPS later marked the return destination “No Such Number,” then “Unclaimed/Being Returned to Sender,” and eventually “Return to Sender.” The package has now been returned to me.
The return closed on August 25 while the package was still in USPS custody, after USPS had already accepted the return from me. eBay never formally stepped in, so there is no appeal option on the closed return.
I have the full USPS tracking history and photos of the returned package showing the USPS return markings.
I tried Help → Ask eBay to step in → Contact us, but the contact assistant is giving me “technical difficulties,” and the email/callback options are disabled.
Does anyone know the current working route to reach a buyer-support agent for a manual review of a closed return in this situation?
