The easiest thing to do is use a different page to sign in to eBay that does not display any purchase information.
One possibility:
https://www.ebay.com/deals
Another possibility is to use an ad blocker's element hiding tool to block the entire rows of items related to past purchases or searches that appear on the main page. This is harder to do, though.
