Has anyone completed this type of transaction on an item above $1000? There is no eBay guarantee nor option for Allstate insurance. You are expected to complete the transaction 1:1 with the seller with no protection. A seller stated that they would conduct the transaction via PayPal for protection, but PayPal told me not to engage in such transactions. Seems like a sure-fire way to get a defective or fraudulent product. Why would eBay do such a thing? I have totally lost faith in eBay now. Thoughts?

Mentor4 months ago@imon_mohsin Is this a computer? eBay started allowing computers to be listed as Classified listings which I feel is an incredibly bad idea.
Whatever the item is I would not make the purchase unless I used eBay checkout AND the listing said the item is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
