Clarification on return policy
I am about to purchase an item from a seller that states a "No returns accepted"
I asked the seller if he/she performed a self-test on the unit. The response was not yes or no, but the seller responded "Regardless if it is not functional ebay will still honor the 30 day return".
Is this true? I do not want to buy an expensive piece of test equipment solely to find out that the seller misrepresented the condition.
Thank you in advance for the answer.

Mentor2 years agoYes, it is true - an item not as described can be returned at the seller’s expense for up to 30 days after you receive the item, as long as the item carries the money back guarantee symbol.
Some larger items in the business & industrial equipment section are not covered, so be sure the item shows the shield. Below the payment methods you should see ‘Shop with Confidence’ and a link to the money back guarantee.
Still, I’m not sure I would want to buy without a straight answer from the seller.

OP2 years agoThat is an excellent point, but the item is uncommon to be found at a competitive price.
I am trying to get a small technical consulting business off the ground now that I no longer have my prior job.
This equipment (Frequency Counter) will allow me to characterize custom oscillators in a way that will be compliant with industry requirements.
Perhaps (and hopefully) in a few months, I can do better, but for now, I have to shop for a bargain.
Your answer was much appreciated. Happy holidays.

Mentor2 years agoAs long as it has the money back guarantee, you are covered, so I’m glad you found what you need at a good price 🙂
Happy Holidays and best wishes for your new business!
