China Shuffle
I wasn't paying attention when I bought 68mm Ford center caps from a Chinese national seller as normally I only buy from domestic sellers. The caps don't fit and I had seen that the buyer pays return shipping. When I went to return, first there was no eBay return label purchase option. At the USPS after filling out a Customs form, I was told $26 shipping and 2 months to deliver. I paid $38 for the caps so more than half to ship them back. A tale of caution beware of the China shuffle as it is fiscally detrimental to do business with sellers who require you pay more than half their product's value to ship the wrong or defective ones back. On top of that, the quality was substandard compared to the ones, also likely made in China but are sold by domestic vendors.

Locate the item. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click on More to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. ebay sends you a link to print out the label. Print out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click on Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
If the seller is from another country, s/he will have to send enough funds to cover return shipping, because the seller cannot provide a shipping label good in this country, or refund in full without having you return the item. If the seller does neither, click on the link to Ask ebay to step in, when it shows up in the case.

OP5 months agoThis seller does not offer a return label even at my cost nor does eBay who by the way has turned a blind eye to this return scam. If you make it cost prohibited to return an item, then consumers like me will simply eat it. I have tried every button available to get help from eBay but other than a stupid AI chat that simply repeats the same programed useless information about getting label when you return just demonstrates how eBay does not "step in" as in this case there is no vehicle by which to request same. At the end of the day, I now tell everyone do not purchase from eBay foreign sellers, in particular the Chinese.
