China Figurine arrived Broken
Hello,
I purchased a vintage china figurine and it arrived with the head broken off. I could plainly see the packaging was insufficient for the USPS system. The head was crammed up against the side of the box with little bits of newspaper. Lots of dead space; completely insecure for shipping. I would like to try and glue the head and little chips back on, but I want some $$ back. How do I go about this? I have emailed the Seller but have not heard back. Thanks.

Mentor1 year ago@lire9317 Sorry your item arrived broken. While eBay can't make the seller issue a partial refund THEY can make the seller issue a FULL refund. Have you tried reaching out to the seller and suggesting a partial refund? Make sure that you REALLY want to keep it. If you don't have any luck with a partial refund then file a return request.
The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request.
Here's what you need to do:
Open a return with the reason arrived damaged

Let me know if you need to return an item to another country as there are additional steps required. The seller pays return shipping for an item that is not as described no matter where they are located.

Contact your seller and let them know what happened. Provide the seller with photos of the item, the box, and the packing material so that they can try and file an insurance claim. Hold on to all items in case the postal service wants to see them.

Chances are though since you said the packaging was inadequate that the shipping company will not pay a claim.
