Charged extra shipping
DO NOT use ebays shipping page..i entered correct weight and dimensions of a package..the post office verified....and after the packaged arrived to my buyer, two days later i was charged an extra 20+ dollars they clain was accrued shipping
..if i use their shipping and entered correct info that the post office verified, then i basically got ripped off by ebay..and was told, basically i have to live with it...what horrible customer service..they screw up and i have to pay for it. Mercari is so much better!!

Mentor1 year ago@jmwcow-48 The extra fee is most likely due to the length of the package and dimensional surcharges.
There is a dimensional surcharge that is not in the shipping calculator for long packages that you need to be aware of.
The post office clerk should have made you aware of the surcharges and to be expecting them. You would have paid more for the shipping at the post office.

Even if you enter the correct weight and dimensions, USPS or other carriers can still re-measure the package during processing. For large or heavy items, even being off by 1 inch or 1 oz can trigger a 20 dollar or more adjustment.
I had this happen 3 times last year. Now I always round up my numbers. For example, if something measures 5 and a quarter inches, I enter 6. I also double-check everything using a tape measure and digital scale before buying the label.
It’s frustrating, but these charges are not from eBay. They come directly from the carrier, and eBay just passes them along. To avoid it, always build in a little buffer.
