I found a charge on my checking account listed as Ebaycompjlxnbwv payment for $79.40. Is this legit or something fishy??

If memory serves there is a reference number on the transaction in you banking records that most likely matches what is on your Recent Activity file on this page over on the right: Seller Hub | Your financial summary | eBay
That list of transactions also has references to what they apply to. There would be a record of the $ 79.40 on your Recent Activity file ... we have no access to accounts so we cannot go through your records.
It may relate to your store fee, refunds, fees, etc.
