Changed shipping carrier and paid for it myself

I changed the shipping provider and paid for it out of pocket so I need to be reimbursed for the shipping, Idid not buy a label from ebay, but shipping was taken out of my payout.

First thing to know is that you are not allowed to change the shipping method without the express permission of the buyer. Many buyers have specific needs that may not be met by other carriers. Second, you will receive the amount the buyer paid for the shipping as part of your payout since you did not purchase the label through eBay.

Payouts are made once tracking shows the item was delivered. Hopefully you entered the tracking number into the purchase details. The only exception is the sale of the guitar. The sale price was over $1,000 so there is a mandatory hold for 30 days on your funds.

If it was deducted from your payout, then a label was created. You need to cancel the unused label to get a refund.

Go to Track and manage your shipments in Seller Hub or Manage shipping labels in My eBay.
Find the item you'd like to cancel the shipping label for, then from the Actions column, select Cancel Label.
Choose your reason for canceling the label.
Select Send request.
