Change the Status of an Unpaid Order

Question

I marked an item as paid by mistake when the item had not been paid for. How can I change the status so it indicates I am waiting for the payment. I want to send the buyer an invoice.

Buyers are sent an invoice by eBay when an auction ends. The timing of that invoice triggers the 4 day (96 hours) period for payment. Once the 4 days expires and if the Buyer has not requested a cancellation during that time period the Seller can then Cancel using the reason Buyer hasn't paid. The Buyer then gets an Unpaid item strike and the Seller can Relist for Free.

/cancelling for an Unpaid item can be set for automatic or manual. Manual means the Seller can wait longer than the 4 days to cancel.

If you send another invoice that 4 day period resets.

If it were me I would message the Buyer and ask them if they see an eBay invoice on their account that is awaiting payment.
