I do estate clean outs. Over the years I have some high end jobs and gotten some high end merchandise from those jobs. I don't always get original boxes or documents that prove the authenticity of these items so I do my research and verify anything I put up for sale. Why does ebay not except my research as verification? I have 35 years experience in this business. I have seen every fake knock off that there is and learn new ones every year. I'm not some hack or scam artist. My feedback rating shows that. Out of over a thousand transactions, 1 person complaining that I got a measurement wrong does not justify me being told an item is fake when I know its not. Is there a way around this? Can I possibly list it in a different category or word something differently? It is a highly dollar item that I am not listing as new. I listed it as Pre-owned but never used. They hit me with a policy violation. Why do they have authenticators if the items never get a chance to get there? That makes no sense. Why am I paying higher fees to pay those authenticators pay checks when they are not doing anything that helps me? I sell a trading card and it go right to them. I try and sell a high dollar wallet for $100 and they kick it off. I called them and they told me to appeal it. So I did and they denied the appeal. Every possible way it can be authenticated it passed the test. It has a serial number that matches the company's style and manufacturing methods but they don't keep an actual database because they are in France and not as big as Coach or any of those brands. How do I sell this thing?

If you got a policy violation, that means the item was deemed to be fake. So you know, sometimes fakes are caught before items are sold so in this case, if it was an "authenticity guaranteed" wallet, it was taken down prior to the sale.
Count your blessings because had the item sold and sent to the authenticators, the buyer would have been notified that the item didn't pass authentication and they'd be aware that you sold a fake. So although you got a ding on your account for listing a fake, you didn't have a buyer to be aware of it.

Because by your own admission, you bought your items at estate clean outs. You haven't proven (to ebay's satisfaction) that you have the experience and expertise to authenticate and discern the minute differences that can mean the difference between authentic and counterfeit.

Did you get a professional authentication from a 3rd party before listing it? Or did you ask AI or Google? ''Correct" serial numbers, style numbers, date codes, etc. don't mean that the item they're on is genuine.

Don't even consider trying to find a way to circumvent and list an item that was found to be fake. That's a roadmap to suspension.

Mentor4 months ago@tdigger2.0 I understand your frustration, especially with your experience, however when an item is removed you should NOT try to relist it.
Even if an agent ok's it they can not reset the BOTS that have flagged your account and it will be removed again which can result in a suspension.
You should sell the item elsewhere.
