Ccounterfeit
Dear eBay Customer Support,
I am extremely disappointed with the handling of my recent complaint regarding a suspected counterfeit item purchased through your platform.
I provided evidence supporting my concerns, including reports and reviews from other buyers who appear to have received the same counterfeit goods, yet my complaint seems to have been dismissed without a proper investigation.
The item was advertised as genuine/authentic, and I believe it has been misrepresented. Under UK consumer law and eBay policy, counterfeit goods are a serious matter and should be investigated thoroughly.
I am therefore requesting that this case be formally escalated and independently reviewed. I would like the following points specifically considered:
The evidence submitted regarding authenticity concerns
Similar complaints from other buyers
Whether the seller may be breaching eBay counterfeit policies
A reconsideration of my refund/protection claim
I have been a genuine eBay customer and expected this issue to be treated more seriously.
Please confirm that this matter has been escalated and advise what further information you require from me.
Kind regards,
tenbigdogs
Mentor4 months agoHi @camcco_18 There are no eBay employees on this board to read your post. If you didn't file an official Return Request for Item Not As Described, you have 30 days from about the date of payment to file one. You need to file an official Return Request with eBay. I am posting the link below to the eBay Help page with instructions and the link to make it very easy for you.
Because it is Not As Described, the seller will have to send you a pre-paid shipping label to send it back to them. The label is only good for a few days, so get on it. When the tracking shows the item is back to the seller, eBay will see that you get a refund. If the seller do it quickly enough, ask eBay to step in and they'll do it for them. Good luck!

OP4 months agoThank you for the advice. I did file an official Return Request for Item Not As Described and included evidence showing the item appears to be counterfeit, including reports from other buyers with the same issue.
My concern is that this is not just a normal return dispute — it involves potentially fake goods being sold on the platform. I would appreciate this being escalated for further review by eBay’s Trust & Safety team rather than treated as a standard return case.
I have followed the correct process and would like confirmation that the counterfeit concerns and supporting evidence have been properly reviewed.
Thank you.

< A reconsideration of my refund/protection claim >
Since you want a reconsideration, I conclude that the first consideration resulted in their denying the claim. What kind of claim did you submit? Was it a formal Not As Described claim? I have never heard of one of those being found in favor of the seller. Did you just send a message, saying that you want a refund?
