Caught buyer in a return lie
Summary: reflemart0 encountered an issue with a buyer who claimed a cover was missing from an item. After offering a partial credit and a replacement cover, the buyer inadvertently admitted to already having the original item, which led reflemart0 to believe the buyer might be attempting a fraudulent return. reflemart0 is unsure whether to proceed with the return due to this distrust.
IPhone I enter a buyer and the buyer then came back and told me that basically did the cover was missing to the item so I had an extra one which I offered to give him and to give him actual partial credit for the inconvenience and I'm he actually came back and messed up and asked me to give him the other one to trade for the other one by accident in his in his email and basically and meeting that he already had the item so the return was originally because it didn't have the cover to it and now I caught him in a lie and I don't know whether to trust or not because obviously he's trying to return maybe a different item so I am I don't think I should have to do the return to him because I don't trust him now and I was originally offering him something in regards to feeling bad about the situation but he actually did receive the whole entire item working and on top of it on the actual description what do you think I should do

Mentor3 weeks agoHi @reflemart0
-Accept the return, get the item back and refund them
-Add that Buyer to your blocked list after the return on this page: Buyer management | eBay
-STOP using the No return policy, it is the DEFAULT setting on eBay listing tools and sends the wrong message to Sellers (they think nothing can be returned) and to Buyers (they may pass you by for a Seller who offers returns so you could be losing sales)
-Learn to use punctuation when you write something here.
-Good luck and thank you for Selling on eBay!!!
