Category Numbers
I need to know how I find the category numbers for my listings. I need to run a report but I need the category number in order to run the listing.

OP3 years agoThank you. I tried to run a report and upload for 173203455095. When I got to the upload it would not upload because Player/Player Name or Name were not acceptable variations. Do you have any clue what might be an Ebay acceptable variation for the Name of a player.

Since trading cards can have either players or characters, something common to both might be best. I think the way you are using it in a multi-variation listing (several droplists), it might be best to try a plural like "Names". Next best is to use "Player_Name" or "Character_Name" or "Card_Name", as appropriate. The underscore punctuation in the label should avoid future eBay conflicts. In general, eBay is trying to move away from using characters and punctuation in their labels, so your use of punctuation should keep you safe.

OP3 years agoI have been working on 1732034555095 all day. I cannot get it to upload. It keeps telling me the Sport is not input. I have input it several times, as Football and Sport Trading cards and it won't upload.
If you have any clout with Ebay, please ask them to STOP changing the acceptable variations so that revisions cannot be made when necessary. They were acceptable when I listed the card. Are they tying to weed out the smaller sellers or in my case the older people.

I think the missing "Sport" is due to not completing both the left and the right inputs for item specifics on the tool. The placeholders are gray. When you enter real data, or replace the placeholders, the values are black.
