Case/appeal is closed due to 30 days - any recourse?
TLDR - A package was misdelivered by USPS to another home on Jun 7th.
I filed an claim, appeal, two manual refunds, etc - been told over email and phone multiple times that I should be getting the refund bc I submitted proper evidence...
And everytime, the refund never comes and when I call back they say that someone in the back office rejected my evidence.
2 months later - today - I talked to an escalation supervisor and he said that the evidence was not deemed sufficient and that's why it was repeatedly rejected.
Finally, today, the 8th person I talked to in this saga, told me details around what they didn't like and what "good" evidence would be - but the 30 day window has passed so the case is closed and dead.
No one, in the previous calls or emails gave me any meaningful instruction on what was lacking at all. No communication at all and now I'm basically called a fraudster and told I can't reopen the case.
I'm really upset bc it seems like they just waited for the window to close so that I wouldn't have the chance to upload the proper documents. Btw, I was aslo told in an email, Jun 14, that the evidence was sufficient. I guess they changed their mind and never told me.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Do I have any recourse at all?
