Case unfairly closed after spending hours on phone, text, AI and email.
If you are ordering a Retekess Radio on ebay, Sent via seller, be careful, as I saved the email 20% price discount adverts with codes, which clearly had me ordering the V115 "p" model, but Seller sent the old V115 scant featured model instead. Old model now cheaper! Nice way to get rid of older models. Then to send CORRECT radio to me , Seller asked me to bid for it! So more wasted time with ebay CS, and a week later got Seller refund to Visa of discount price for WRONG radio model. Still have wrong non"p " model in box with original post info. So, refund, $24.25, but still no free mailer to return older WRONG model, and even offered to return this WRONG one, if they ship me correct one. IE the newer multifeatured "p" unit. Lots of other complaints on time wasted with poor CS AI, phone, text, emails, and finally reached a nice human on ebay CS phone, but call cut off. Developing formal detailed complaints to Attys. Gen'l consumer offices in CA and Maine. Asked ebay repeatedlyfor call, to help, no calls.

Buyers are covered by the eBay money back guarantee on most purchases. It is important that you know what it covers and how to open the correct refund.
If you receive something, but it is not the item listed, you can open a not as described case to get your money back. You do not need to contact customer service. It is best to contact the seller to let them know you received the wrong item. You have 30 days from the delivery date to open the case.

The seller has the choice to refund without having the item sent back or they can require you to send it back before they refund. They will need to provide a return shipping label if they want the item back.
If they refund and do not require it to be returned first the item is yours to do with what you want, use, sell, or donate. Since you received a refund the case is closed and there is nothing more you or the seller can do as you have your refund for the amount you paid, you have been made whole.

OP6 months agoEbay's adverts were wrong, and misleading as well. Emails saved. I used the 20% discount code advert for the correct item, the newer Retekess V115 p radio. And the Seller fraudulently sent me the older cheaper model, the V115 unit. As an extra class amateur radio operator (highest government ticket), I know radios. Nice way to clear older, less expensive, outdated stock. When I contacted the seller he then actually asked me to make an offer for the newer radio. Above and beyond the 20% discount price, which is now above the lower price for the older unit. No free return mailer sent. Now I have a much less desirable outdated radio, which after my hours dealing variously with Ebay and the seller, to receive the better item I first ordered, I spent more time getting a visa refund , this time from the Seller. I asked if I could send back the V115 in exchange for the V115p, but now am wondering if the Seller even does so, he might just fraudulently send a defective unit from a return pile. And after all this. this seller complained that I did not write a review for his servicing me! May just add this compulsive story of woe to my memoirs. All for less than $25. Thanks, but please review ALL the details ofthis fraudulently closed case.
