Question

Thank you for your decision to issue me a refund. I want you to know that I contacted the seller (lou.bella) three times and never got any reply. It made me wonder if the seller is incapacitated or dead.

When shopping on ebay buying from new (0) feedback sellers often results in those sellers not shipping or responding to questions, because they do not know about the 30 day hold placed on their first several payments by ebay. That's because ebay does not put that information in the first few paragraphs of the getting started information. It is buried much deeper in the pages of info.

It is not just new sellers who run into the hold but ones who have not sold anything in over a year. So you may see that a seller has a fair number of feedback and even a 100% rating, but it could all be for buying at least in the last year. That is just one reason why you should check each seller's feedback profile Before, buying from one.

All they know is that on their account the payment status shows as pending, so they do not ship because they do not think the payment has cleared. They may also think that messages asking about shipping, are an attempt to scam them somehow, so they do not respond.

That seller just started with eBay 3 months ago. I suspect they didnâ€™t realize that eBay holds funds for new sellers, and they werenâ€™t going to get paid unless they shipped the item.
