car auction and 2nd chance offers
My car auction ended and the high bidder wanted to drive the car to his location but could not get car insurance to cover the trip. We then selected the next highest bidder for a 2nd chance offer which as we understand would give the second highest bidder a day to respond. After 24 hours and no response, the second highest bidder was asked if they had gotten the 2nd chance offer from Ebay. The response was that they had received the offer but it was retracted after an hour. Since they had a day to respond, why was the offer retracted after an hour? This was not done by me.

Just wanted to add that if the 2nd highest bidder is interested in the car … you can still sell it to them. [eBay Motors takes its fees on the front end … so there’s no off-eBay transaction problem.]

Mentor2 years ago@cgstroh No idea why this would happen. I recommend contact the eBay Motors team in case there's something different about second change offers for eBay Motors... or so they know there's a glitch.
