Can't sign in to ebay on my laptop
Try as I may, I can not sign in to ebay on my laptop. Keep getting a wrong password error. What's up with this???

OP2 years agoStill can't sign in to ebay on my laptop. Guess ebay doesn't like my laptop...

Make sure you are trying to sign in to the correct eBay account.
Wait for the sign-in page to load fully before entering any credentials.
If you use a saved password, make sure you did not inadvertently save the wrong password, or update your password on another device without saving the new password on your laptop.
Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser and your browser is as up-to-date as possible.

Try another link sign in to rule out a bad link.

Make sure your keyboard does not have any flaky keys. I once had an issue with a shift key that did not work reliably with only one specific key that I rarely used -- except for one important password.
If you can sign in to the eBay community pages on your laptop, see if you can go from there to your My eBay page using the link under your community icon in the upper right.

A common cause is that the Caps Lock is on. It's hard to tell that when the password characters just appear as dots. Does the word "Show" appear on the right hand side of the password field after you type in one or two characters? If it does, click that and you'll be able to see the actual characters.

OP2 years agoIt's not the caps lock. I recently started using a VPN service which might be the problem but even when I turn it off I still can not sign in.
