Can't really talk to anyone at ebay.
I want to respond to a false accusation made buy a seller and that ebay backed up by saying that I would not get a refund. The thing is, I never requested a refund. I asked for the seller to send me the correct item. Ebay still thinks that I am trying to get a refund. I provided documentation but they still are accusing me of trying to get a refund, in essence, fradulently trying to obtain said refund. There is no way to actually talk to anyone at ebay about this issue. Anyone have any suggestions?

The ONLY result eBay can help you get is a refund. Helping you obtain a replacement is NOT part
of eBay’s services.
Buyers often waste their buyer protection by requesting a replacement that never arrives … and they pass the deadline for getting a refund.

OP2 years agoGood to know. I am supposed to be getting a replacement but I wish ebay would have said that instead of saying, "We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t receive your item. We have asked the seller to respond to your request. If your request is not resolved, you can ask us to step in and help beginning Feb 2, 2024." All they accomplished was making me mad by saying that I had already received the replacement, which I hadn't, and that I would not get a refund and that the case was closed. Zero customer service, 100% seller support. "Thank you ebay".
Again, thank you for your response house *of* paws.

You’re welcome. 🙂
It sounds like you opened an ‘Item not received’ claim. If you actually received a wrong item … you need to file a ‘Return request’ and request a refund. THEN rebuy the item.
[It really isn’t clear what caused you to request a replacement in the first place … not receiving the original item, receiving the wrong item, receiving a damaged item, or something else.]

OP2 years agoAll I wanted to do was to get the item I ordered. I did not realize that you can't get the help you asked for unless you know the particular protocol. Why can't eBay customer service simply understand what I was saying and respond accordingly instead of sticking to their protocol and in essence accusing me of trying to fraudulently obtain a refund? The seller provided fraudulent documentation, of which I provided proof, and yet they would only continue to say 'eBay’s original decision was to stand and that I would not get a refund. Why will they not admit that the sellers' documentation provided on the eBay site was an outright lie, instead of continuing to say "I will not get a refund"? Are they using an AI to respond to customer inquiries? That would make sense as to why they cannot understand clearly presented facts that they themselves posted. Anyway, I have found eBay to be an asset but I will certainly beware of my expectations in the future when shopping and not expect common sense to be applied if needing help from eBay customer service. Please enjoy the rest of your day. Thank you again for your input.
