Can't link my checking account to my eBay sellers account

Question

Every time I try to link my checking account to my eBay sellers account, I get the following message: "Sorry, we are unable to find an eligible checking account at this time."

I've tried dozens of times to get this issue resolved with eBay's pathetic AI, with no success. How do I get to speak with a human?

I would start by going to the Issue Resolution Center in your eBay Seller Hub. Are you attempting to link to an established, brick and mortar bank? If you have a personal, eBay account, are you linking it to a personal, checking account where everything matches EXACTLY. I know this is a little crazy, but you could type both your checking account information and then your eBay registration data into ChatGPT to see if there's a difference. The verification process is actually that detailed.

If all else fails, you could message eBay on their Instagram page. That is staffed from Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm, PST.

Manually entering my bank routing and account numbers did the trick.
