cant get payed for selling my virtual item cause shipping
I sold a virtual item on ebay and I can't get the money because I can't ship it I gave it to the person in game I recorded the entire interaction me accepting the money and giving him the pet with his username and our chats

Did you get pre approved by Ebay to sell digitally delivered items? The link below is the rules for selling digital items.

Ebay has had a rule for many years that pertains to New Seller and sellers that have been away from selling for 90+ days. The following is the policy that outlines why you money is likely on hold.

What @selforfun , wrote is all correct, but you should still get a manila envelope print out out a ground advantage label, per your stated shipping method. Place a copy of your listing's image in it and any other instructions or game codes and mail it to your buyer. If you buy the label through ebay a tracking numbr will automatically be uploaded to the listing. If you go to the P.O. to mail it, save the receipt and when you get home open your sold listing and manually enter the tracking number to the listing.
Because of the item's price, a Delivered scan and even a feedback may not be enough to release the payment sooner than 30 days.

1. as @mudshark61369 noted, your first sale payment is on hold for up to 30 days (or released sooner if your buyer leaves positive feedback)

Also as explained, because you sold a digitally delivered item before approval, eBay requires proof of delivery via shipment
2. check if you can mark the order as shipped:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:ALL_ORDERS → More actions → Mark as shipped → choose “I shipped outside of eBay†→ confirm → payment releases in ~3 days
3. If that option isn’t available, open the order details page and look for “Add shipment details†or “Mark as shipped†there
4. If you still can’t, ask eBay to manually review your transaction:

There are two issues in play with the transaction.
1) this was your first sale so your payment will be on hold for up to 30 days, or they may be released sooner if your buyer leaves you a positive feedback. read about the hold on new sellers payments in the link below.

2) You sold an item that was to be digitally delivered, and you have to send the buyer something in an envelope with tracking to prove delivery. You also made the sale before becoming an approved seller of digitally delivered goods. Find out more by opening the link below
