Can't delete listing
I sold an item to a buyer who bid on it in the last second of the auction. The buyer then wanted to cancel the order later stating that they bid on it by accident to which I declined because they wanted for the last second to bid on it knowing full well what they were doing. They customer said they would pay but did not pay for it.
I reported to Ebay that the buyer did pay. I never heard back from Ebay and the report disappeared as I can not get they status through Help & Contact.
Now the item remains on my "sold" list and I am unable to delete it.
What do I do? Or, how would I be allowed to delete it?
In the meantime, I've already relisted it due to non-payment.
Thanks!

Mentor3 years agoWhat did you expect when you denied processing the cancellation?
When any of us reports another member we will never get a response from Ebay telling us what they did or didn't do to the other member. That is private account information.
There is no way you can delete a transaction, nor should you ever be able to do that for any reason.
What you can try to do is Cancel the transaction using the reason that the buyer requested it. DO NOT try to use some other reason, even if the one for Non Payment shows up. That will likely cause you even more problems if you try to do that. Just cancel the transaction because the buyer requested it and move on.
It is rarely a good idea to deny a cancellation when a buyer requests it. As you can see here, it just causes you more work and there is no way you can force them to pay.
But it could have been worse. They could have paid and then when they received it file and INAD and return it at YOUR expense. That is usually what happens when a seller denies a buyer.
