can't access an account

Question

i purchased an item which i needed to return, which i did the seller accepts i did but indicates he cannot refund as the account details i was chasing with are different from the account i purchased the items. i was not aware i had more than one? i can see no way to change to the account he indicates i used, and try as i might i can't get a contact within ebay to rectify matters!!! each time i open ebay it defaults to an address, and i cannot find a way to change it. HEEEELLLLLPPPP please

Check your email for a message from eBay about the order. If you have more than one email account, check each account. You may be able to identify the eBay account from the email.

If not, try recreating your steps; use the same device and browser or app that you originally used to make the purchase, and see if you can get access to the same account. Your browser or app may still be signed in to that account, or you may have your account username saved as form data in the browser.

If you did not purchase as a guest and you are unable to locate your other account, you may have to contact eBay in the UK to see if the account can be located.
