Cannot resolve alleged policy violation... buttons greyed out
Summary: scrottie expressed frustration with a policy violation on eBay, related to a listing originally made by Atari Age. Despite appealing, they received an unclear response and found all resolution options were greyed out, leaving no way to revise the listing. They criticized eBay's automated systems and listing tools as buggy and inefficient, and decided to sell the item elsewhere due to the difficulties faced.
I got a policy violation and appealed it. (My wording wasn't great... this is NO LONGER available from atariage.com but was originally made by Atari Age... I should have said it was made by Atari Age instead of using the URL) Case 2-107900400127.
After several days, I got this message:
This is some embarrassing NewSpeak garbage. You closed my report... in my favor? Against my favor? This tells me absolutely nothing.
Clicking the "Resolve" button, I still see the original policy violation stuff, but as with after I appealed, none of the buttons at the bottom work. They're all greyed out. Selling -> Active still says "This listing violates our Offering to Buy or Sell Outside of eBay Policy. It's hidden until you can fix it." But there's no way I can fix it. There's no "Revise" option on https://www.ebay.com/itm/336749961319 . The only button in Selling -> Active is "Resolve" which takes me to the page with the three disabled buttons.
It took most of a week for automated systems to come up with gibberish and do nothing. Bravo.
I'll sell this somewhere else. I don't even care. I just wanted to tell you that your listing stuff is trash. All of the trying to fill in tags, prices, etc from what eBay believes incorrectly to be similar listings is all wrong, broken, and a huge annoying pain. The listing tool is full of buggy stuff that incorrectly vomits errors all over. It feels like every last thing is buggy or broken.
