Cannot remove items from "Recent Searches"
Really frustrated by this. There is an item that I want to delete from my search history and nothing I do will remove it. Nothing salacious, I was looking up a tattoo book on a work account. I have cleared "Recently Viewed" and deleted cookies/cache, but eBay insists on continuing to serve us ads/auctions for items related to that search. When I click in the search bar (on desktop), it appears under "Recent Searches". If I mouse over it, an X appears and it allows me to delete the item, but it re-appears immediately when I click in the search bar again. The item also appears in my "Saved Feed" and as far as I can tell there is no way to delete items from that list. This isn't going to get me fired or anything, but it is so insanely stupid that eBay insists on being able to constantly serve you sponsored content if you don't want it. Like, what if I was buying a gift for my wife or something? Or what if I had a secret family that I was trying to buy presents for and I wanted to hide it from my first family?! Get it together.

Mentor1 year agoTry performing some new, innocuous searches to displace the search you want to remove.
If you are using a shared machine at work, be sure to sign out of your eBay account and clear your browser history. Only users with access to your account can see your recent searches or your search suggestions.
Use a different eBay account for purchases you want to keep hidden from other family members with access to your eBay account. Or purchase as a guest using an email address that is not shared with others.
