If you are using the iOS version of the eBay app and you are having problems contact a seller, try using a browser instead of the app. You may need to disable the feature that causes eBay browser links to open in the eBay app automatically by tapping and holding such a link and choosing "do not open in the app".
You should be able to use the "contact" link in a seller's listing or in your Purchase History to send a message to the seller.
If you are having problems, try clicking on the "Send message" text to start typing your message.
