Cancer request denied
Bought item in 8/22/25. Put cancel request later that day and messaged seller. eBay sends email acknowledging cancel request and gives seller 3 days. 3 days pass and cancellation denied “by seller†says eBay. Multiple messages sent to seller and everyone unanswered. Seller ,to date, has not purchased shipping label or responded to any messages? How do I know seller declined cancel request? It’s now the 27th and still nothing! I’m disputing the charge with my bank and will not accept the package. What else can I do? eBay’s process for cancelling isn’t very good for buyers.

Mentor11 months agoBuyers can request a cancellation but not demand one. Sellers do not have to honor a cancellation request. Many times it is impossible. Some sellers have items in warehouses and as soon as the item is sold, the process begins and cannot be stopped. I myself have sold an item, packaged, and put it in the mail and had it picked up within a few minutes.
Just because you don't see tracking doesn't mean it wasn't shipped; shipping with tracking is not mandatory. Right now you just have to wait.
You really jumped the gun and went out of order. A charge back was not the right thing to do and you just negated your eBay protection. You should have gone to your purchase history and noted the estimated delivery date. Once the date passes, you can click on item not received. That opens a case and the seller has 3 business days to prove delivery with tracking or refund. If not, you can return to the case on the 4th business day and ask eBay to step in, forcing a refund.
