Cancellation request issues
I bought and paid for an item. More than 3 business days went by and the item was not shipped. I asked to cancel the order on Feb 9. Three more business days have now elapsed with NO RESPONSE from the seller. I want my item OR I want my money back. I’ll still take the item if the seller ever decides to send it. What can I do?

eBay customer service can not cancel the sale for you or force a refund sooner than after the item is past due.
Sellers can have handling times of 0 to 40 days. They just have to make sure that the item arrives by the last estimated delivery date stated on the listing.

Look for the last estimated delivery date in your purchase history. You can file a refund request when it is one day PAST the last estimated delivery date .

OP6 months agoThanks for this. Today was the last date of estimated delivery. Therefore I will file my claim tomorrow. This has literally NEVER happened to me on eBay in 25+ years I have dealt with it. Thanks again.

Really sorry that happened ... the date you want to keep an eye on is the original estimated delivery date. One day past that is when you can process a claim.
You are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the latest estimated delivery date: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
You can file a claim via the item in your Purchase History that you did not receive your item one day past the original estimated delivery date and up to 30 days after that. Follow the steps in the claim and they will lead to an eventual refund.
